Clinical case description:
First Visit : 2016.7.11
Chief Complaint: Swelling of the lower right gum
Current Medical History: Pt. states that about 1 to 2 years ago, the gums of her canine tooth in the lower right became swollen. She claims that she had visited several other hospitals for examination and treatment, but was informed that her dental condition was not getting better.
Present Condition: A periodontal tissue examination has recognized a periodontal pocket of 12 mm at the centrifugal 43 and 8 mm at the mesial center of 44. According to dental X-ray photographs, a vertical centrifugal bone resorption extending to the vicinity of the root apex was observed in 43 centrifuge. The first result of PCR was 56%.
Treatment Course: Periodontal surgical treatment was performed at 33, after the basic periodontal treatment for regeneration of periodontal tissue.
When the flap valve was flipped and delaminated with full layer valve, 33 vertical centrifuge confirmed bilateral bone resorption of two walls.
After thorough debridement of the root, Emdogain, Geistlich Bio-Oss® was transplanted to the bone defect area, Bio-gide was placed on the buccal side and sutured.
Seven months after the operation, the periodontal pocket of 33 centrifuges is 3 mm, and, although it is incomplete in 33 centrifuge in the digital photograph, a reconstructed image of the tribal bone can be recognized.
